Become CatholicThe Order of Initiation of Adults, or OCIA, is the process that guides individuals into full initiation into the Roman Catholic Church. We offer a year-round process at Christ the Redeemer, so interested persons may start their journey throughout the year.
The process begins with an initial conversation with our OCIA Coordinator, Heath Vogel. This initial meeting is essential in discerning together your best next steps for your unique faith journey.

OCIA Sponsors
Because no journey should be traveled alone, this ministry is always in search of people willing to share their faith life with those preparing to become Catholic. Sponsors must be confirmed Catholics (16 years and older), active in the Catholic faith and willing to share their faith life with others.To be admitted to the role of sponsor, a person must:
- Be designated as sponsor and have the qualifications and intention of performing this role.
- Leads a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken.
- Not be the father or mother of the one being confirmed.
