In Matthew 25, Jesus commands his disciples to serve and love those in need through what we call the corporal works of mercy. As such, our Archdiocese requires service to be completed as part of Confirmation preparation.
To help you live out your baptismal call and prepare for Confirmation, you can find service opportunities listed below. Additionally, you are free to use the works of mercy as your guide and perform acts of service in a way that is not listed here.
Please note: All Corporal Works of Mercy are done for people in need. For example; although a great thing to do, volunteering at a fundraiser or concession stand would not be considered feeding the hungry.

Description: Create "Hope Bags" for youth in facilities. Hope Bags are decorated paper lunch bags filled with handwritten letters, snacks and word puzzles acting as gifts of love and hope. Youth receive bags throughout the year especially during Christmas, Easter, and other special occasions.
