Home Based (Middle School)

The Rise home-based option will be very different from previous years and from the RE home-based program. Moving forward, we are providing a selection of resources that you can use however you like. The parish has purchased a subscription to Formed.org for each of its parishioners. This site, created by the St. Augustine Institute, offers a variety of video series and podcasts. Simply sign up and select "Christ the Redeemer" as your parish, and it’s free!

These series are excellent for teens and the whole family to enjoy! We have also created several worksheets and workbooks to accompany each series. No attendance will be taken, and nothing needs to be turned in. However, if you have questions or are confused by anything while going through the series, we’re happy to answer your questions or discuss it further. If you’d like to turn in the worksheets, we would love to read them! If not, that’s perfectly fine too. For any questions please contact Kennedy Roper.

Each formed episode corresponds to an episode from The Chosen so we encourage you to watch this series alongside the show. This can be super fun for a family movie night or a relaxing weekend activity! 

Explore the Catholic faith through this formed series! Symbolon for Teens walks you through so many big questions that arise about our faith. These videos help us to understand these questions, grow in our faith, and increase our love for our Church!

There are many parts of the Mass that have incredibly deep symbolism and such rich meaning. While you watch this series of short clips, Fr. This project was so big that there are three seasons and counting. These are some of the questions that have been answered: “Are Catholics cannibals?” “What is a Relic?” “Is the Eucharist in the Bible?” “Why aren’t women priests?” We invite you to watch this collection in order or based off of any questions about the faith you might have.

Need a good podcast for a road trip, flight, or to just listen to? We have a great one for you! The Truth to Inspire Series is a podcast that walks you through the lives of some Saints and popular Marian apparitions. A few being St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, and Our Lady of Fatima. Come and learn about these wonderful men and women so that you too can become a Saint!
