All Are Welcome!
All are welcome to participate in faith formation at Christ the Redeemer. "God knows the hearts of children...Prayer needs no spoken words...God listens and can hear even if a child is unable to pray out loud"
The Religious Education Department and Catechetical Ministry Team at Christ the Redeemer directly serves families of children Preschool* (age 3 and up) through 5th grade.
The mission of Christ the Redeemer’s Religious Education program is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to families by forming the faith of the children through the process of religious education. At the same time, we accompany, evangelize, and catechize the parents who are primarily responsible for raising their children in the faith.
We are always in need of many catechetical ministers to give a weekly commitment to help in the classroom. We will offer all of the training needed and assist all our ministers throughout the year! If you are interested in joining the ministry, please email Adilene Huff at [email protected]. -
Change for 6th GradeBeginning Fall 2025, Christ the Redeemer is restructuring the way 6th graders learn about our beautiful Catholic faith. Those students who will be entering 6th grade in the fall of 2025 will attend our Youth Ministry Rise program on Wednesday evenings. Previously, Rise was only open to 7th and 8th grade students.
For this first year of change, families of 6th graders in 2025-26 will have the opportunity to choose our home-based RE program in lieu of the Rise program. The traditional classroom RE setting will no longer be offered for 6th graders.

Catechetical Sunday - Sept. 21, 2025

By virtue of Baptism, each person plays a role in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. This year the Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on September 21, 2025 with a theme of: “Always be ready to give an explanation...for a reason for your hope."
This year's theme encourages us to be prepared to share the basis of our faith, the Lord, and the hope He provides. In the same manner Saint Peter encouraged the believers of his time, the scripture reminds us, the sharing should be done with gentleness and respect.
