Handbells are a rich tradition in many churches that enhances the music with their mystical sounds. Bell ringing is intergenerational.The Christ the Redeemer Ringers play for the 4th Sunday of the month, September-May, at the 5 p.m. mass and occasionally at the 11 a.m. mass. The group is also active with many community events: Dickens on the Strand, Houston Heritage Candlelighting Tour, FebFest, and Senior Center Programs.
The CtR Ringers are open to adults with a basic music-reading ability. Rehearsals are on Monday nights 7:30-9 p.m.
