Zoom Tong

Dung “Zoom” Tong joined the CtR staff in 2022 as Director of IT, serving both the parish and CtR Catholic School.

He brings extensive leadership experience in information technology, having held management roles at major corporations in Houston, including IBM, Deloitte & Touche, NOV, and SNC-Lavalin. Zoom earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Beyond his professional career, he is an active volunteer with Our Lady of LaVang Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts of America.

Zoom is passionate about being part of a community where people support, encourage, challenge, and serve one another.

He and his wife, Katie, are blessed with two children: their daughter, a student at the University of Houston, and their son, who proudly serves in the U.S. Navy. Zoom also carries a meaningful family legacy—his great-grandfather, Tong Viet Buong, was a Vietnamese martyr canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1988.
