June 19, 2020Although our operational procedures will be a bit different in September 2020, at Genesis Early Childhood Program, we are excited to welcome everyone back for 2020-21! We are in the middle of summer preparations to make sure we can safely serve your children.
This unusual program year will be the 25th anniversary year as a ministry of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Although there will be some procedural changes, what will not change is our intentionality providing an environment where children can grow spiritually, cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally in a safe and structured environment. We have missed our students in ways that words cannot fully express. We are so looking forward to September 8th at our opportunity to see them again!
At the beginning of June, administratively Genesis has undergone a
small transition. Mary Davis, who has worked at our Genesis Early Childhood Program since 1997 (one year after its inception), and has served as Director since 2005, has retired as director. However, Genesis is blessed to have Mary serve in an advisory role to longtime Co-Director Melanie Gehrt, who will be taking on the role as Director of Genesis. As is true each year, there will be some familiar faces in new places as we transition the Genesis Staff and families into this strange but new challenge. The 2020-2021 school year will call on each of us to dig deep into our faith and rely on God’s grace to help us live these unsettling days.
